Treana Tom joined the Gentle Care family in August of 2015. She
graduated from Columbus State Community College in 2008 with an
Associate’s degree in Nursing. She immediately became an RN on a
medical/surgical unit at Memorial Hospital of Union County, where she
remained for six years. She then did some contract work for a
medical device company and a home health care agency. Treana also
holds a Bachelor’s degree in pre-medicine from Ohio University (OU) and
is one course away from her Bachelor’s degree in nursing from OU.
In her personal life,
Treana has been married to her husband Jason for 16 years and they have
a son, Brooks, 13, and a daughter Cambryn, 9. Their family moved
to Mechanicsburg in 2004. They enjoy the small community and
hometown feel of the Burg. In her free time, Treana enjoys
traveling the midwest to watch Brooks play baseball and watching Cambryn
participate in cheer, gymnastics, basketball and softball. Treana
also writes poetry and enjoys painting, photography, and other creative
outlets.
Treana is very excited
to be employed at Gentle Care Health Center, and is looking forward to
contributing to the health of our community. Treana has known
since she was about ten years old that she wanted to work in healthcare.
She loves helping people, and more importantly, educating people to
empower them to take control of their health and quality of life.
